Personal Invitation To Panama – Ecuador

Dear Members:

We have a quick question for you!

How many of you would like to go on a guided tour to Panama and/or Ecuador in the coming months?

That’s right!  We’re planning a visit to both Panama and Ecuador in the coming months and we want to give our Members the first opportunity to help us design the experience.

THE PLAN

Here is the plan in a nutshell:

  • 7-10 days in each country
  • You can CHOOSE ONE country OR TOUR BOTH countries back to back
  • We’ll tour the TOP LIFESTYLE COMMUNITIES in each country
  • We’ll meet with RELOCATION EXPERTS and other expats living in each country
  • We’ll keep the GROUP SIZE SMALL
  • We’ll have A LOT OF FUN!  Great dining, some “down time”, and lots of new experiences and people to meet!

INSTRUCTIONS

We want this tour to MATCH YOUR NEEDS, so we are conducting an informal survey from our Members.

If you are interested in joining us, please type “Panama” or “Ecuador” or “Both” in the comments section below this article.

Then follow with any other comments about what you would like to SEE AND DO during the tour.  What are your PRIORITIES?  The more you contribute about what you want with your comments, the better.

Please go to the comments section below this article and submit your comments!

Thank you for your interest!

My foremost interest in visiting Ecuador relates to lifestyle, climate & safety (incl health care accessibility). Having reached retirement stage, a “lay-back” ambiance is desired. A low crime rate, with available health care, as needed, constitute personal magnets. The meteorological as well as the sociological climates, devoid of extremes, + stable local & national governments are most desirable.

I would be very interested in a Panama tour. That’s not to say I wouldn’t entertain a Ecuador tour. We were in Ecuador in November and have tickets to return January 23rd for a week. We will be moving to one of these countries within six months.

As for our needs, we do not want a typical tourist tour. We have seen enough churches, museums and the like. We want a culture tour interfacing with locals and expats. We need to understand the lifestyle, services, shopping, medical and the availability of things we need for everyday life. Don’t care for luxury hotels and fine dinning. Just clean, good and safe. We want to own a coffee or coco farm. At least an income producing farm. Not interested in livestock, but trees, fruits, vegs would work

I’m just reading about your proposed tour now. Did it happen? Will you do it again? I’m interested in both countries. Looking for a small house with a garden and Internet access that I can rent, eventually buy a house.

Great idea and THANKS for putting this together!

It would be terrific to set up a separate tour each for Panama and Ecuador and a combined tour of both countries, to provide the most flexible options for all who are interested. In a perfect world, of course. I’m sure you will do the best you can. ;)

Am interested in a Panama-Ecuador tour in the fall of 2011.

I’d like to visit the highlands in Panama (where you don’t need air conditioning) & some expatriate-populated areas of Ecuador with Internet access.

A week or so in each country sounds good.

    both. Next year!!

I’m interested in Ecuador. I’m looking for an area that is not too far from the ocean and has reasonable roads and electric power. High Speed Internet would be a plus. Spring to summer weather and a cost of living suitable to living on my SS check alone.

I am a single woman and would be interested in seeing Panama Canal, Belize, Costa Rica, Nicaragua.

I am interested in Panama, possibly Ecuador (would want to know more about the itinerary.) I prefer to see a mixture of developments and local-type areas, mostly beach front but some highlands okay. Azuero Peninsula, Pedasi, Las Tablas, Chiriqui, David, Boquete, Volcan, maybe Bocas del Toro. Interested primarily in purchase of real property for retirement and/or investment purposes.

    Thanks,
    Tom H

  • One reader wrote: My wife and I would be interested in both Panama and Ecuador, perhaps. We want to come away with a realistic understanding of what kind of lifestyle we could live with the mostly just social security income. Also, since we would be leery of investing money in a leftist country, we want to know what class of home rentals there may be , not about buying land/houses. I want to know if the crime is so bad we would have to live in an apartment/condo with barred windows or can we rent a nice home outside of the city? Charles L.

  • William Veilleux

    Both
    Not all gated communities.
    Reasonible pricing.
    Condos, or among the locals.
    Near the beach.

  • One reader wrote: Sounds great, I do hope the plan is not until at least Nov. I am single and 60 so please no kids and keep it on the low end cost wise. I plan to spend several months in central and south America this fall and winter looking for a new home. At this time I am most interested in living in Ecuador, based on what info I have but am considering several areas, and keeping an open mind. I don’t want winter cold, hot summers much rain or a police state such as Costa is fast becoming. I am also interested in Belize and Uruguay. I plan time all four places this year. Your tour would be very helpful I think.

  • John Fimian

    Both

  • Peter Fess

I’m interested in both…and for Uruguay & Argentina also
